Tennant invests $32M in BrainCorp for New Autonomous Cleaning Machines

Tennant  partners with Brain Corp to advance robotic floor cleaning technology. Their agreement focuses on innovation in AI-enabled cleaning robots, with the launch of the X4 ROVR and an investment of $32 million by Tennant in Brain Corp.

Tennant Company, known for their cleaning solutions, teamed up with Brain Corp, experts in robot and AI technology. They've set out to advance robotic floor cleaning technologies.

In fact, this isn't their first rodeo together - they've previously worked successfully and now want to speed up innovation in this area.

This partnership is a big deal because it mixes Tennant's know-how in making top-notch cleaning gear with Brain Corp's smarts in AI and self-driving cleaning tech. Together, they've already got over 6,500 cleaning robots working away, and this new deal aims to make these robots even better and more accessible to folks who need them.

Dave Huml, the big boss at Tennant, believes that blending smart tech and automated cleaning will really shake things up in their industry.

And here's something cool: in the second quarter of 2024, Tennant's launching the X4 ROVR. It's their very own, specially designed, self-driving robot that's great in small spaces.

It's got the latest navigation tech from Brain Corp and will only be on Tennant machines for floor cleaning. This new robot is just the start - Tennant plans to roll out even more products like this, all aimed at making cleaning easier and more efficient.

This team-up is all about combining Tennant's long history of making great cleaning equipment with Brain Corp's skills in smart, self-driving tech.

Starting with the X4 ROVR, Tennant will offer a full package - the machine and the smart services all in one. This makes it simpler for customers and opens up a new way for Tennant to keep making money from these smart services.

David Pinn, at Brain Corp, sees this partnership as a big step towards a world where robots make things easier, especially for cleaning crews. Dave Huml from Tennant is all in on this idea, focusing on making sure these new robots really make a difference for their customers.

And to seal the deal, Tennant's putting $32 million into Brain Corp.

Fay West, Tennant’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will even join Brain Corp's board, showing just how tight these two companies are planning to work together.
